In May 2008 we were assessed against the liD standard and were succesful in achieveing this.

liD is a national standard that recognises organisations for their work in promoting inclusion, equality, diversity and achievement.

The process involved the assessor spending time with customers, colleagues, suppliers, partners and Non Executive Directors.

Here are some excerpts from the report

'Aspire Housing is a very succesful and thriving organisation. There is a real buzz about the place, and overall impression is very upbeat, friendly and forward thinking'.

'Staff said that one of the key benefits of embracing diversity was that the customers were being treated with respect as individuals and that there was ongoing improvement to the service for their customers'.

'Aspire Housing is committed to putting customers at the heart of everything they do and they believe that they have a role to play in designing the services the customers require'.
