Building better futures for everyone is what we strive for at Aspire Housing. And part of our commitment to both customers and local residents is to regenerate the areas of our Borough that need it the most.

We have been working in partnership with Newcastle Borough Council to develop a masterplan for the long-term regeneration of part of Chesterton and Crackley to set a vision for the next 10 years and the future.

Following a consultation event in March 2019 and two previous consultation events held in March 2018 and November 2018, we have reviewed all of the feedback to date, considered the proposal further and developed Option 3 - a final masterplan that was presented to residents at a public information event on Wednesday 16th October 2019.

The area of redevelopment has changed and evolved since development proposals were first presented to the community in March 2018.

Originally, the site area comprised land in the ownership of Aspire Housing, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and private occupiers. In response to feedback received from the local community, the playing fields at Crackley Bank, currently in the ownership of NUBC, were removed from the area of redevelopment, and will therefore be retained.

Proposed areas of redevelopment within the remainder of the site have been identified with the aim of providing a balance between the need to regenerate the area and provide a wider choice of housing, as well as the need to minimise disruption for as many residents as possible.

Aspire Housings intend to redevelop the areas outlined in the attached public information boards, as well as provide general improvements to the area.

If you have any further feedback on our proposal, you can complete a Feedback Form here or contact us through any of the methods listed below.
