Oh behalf of Newcastle Borough Council, the company currently provides a homelessness and housing advice service and manages the housing register.
The contract with the Borough Council is due to expire in August 2009, and Aspire Housing put forward a tender in November 2008, hoping to secure a further contract to continue to provide the service.
The company was successful and Caroline Baggaley, Head of Housing Services at Aspire Housing is thrilled.
She said: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured a further contract with Newcastle Borough Council to provide the new Newcastle Housing Advice service.
Caroline continued: “The service will continue to be delivered from our offices on the Brampton, until our new town centre offices in Merrial Street open at the end of May 2009 and will closely link to a new approach to allocating properties via a choice based lettings scheme, which will commence at the same time as the new contract in the Autumn”
Councillor Studd, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Regeneration Council commented: “Aspire Housing submitted an excellent tender and we already have a very positive working relationship with members of the team.
He added: “We look forward to continuing to work with them as the service grows and changes in the future.”
