Aspire Housing will soon start building work on a redevelopment at Halmerend, Newcastle.
The project has already seen the demolition of a property on the High Street, with a proposed 10 new properties.
The new homes will consist of a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom bungalows and houses, landscaped frontages and car parking facilities and will be available to rent or purchase on a shared ownership basis.
Mark Roe, Development Manager at Aspire Housing, is delighted with progress so far and said:“Our aim is to bring quality and affordable housing to local people and we are certain that our rent and shared ownership schemes will help people get onto the property ladder.”
Work will commence shortly and the new homes will be available for rent or purchase in June 2009.
