Aspire Housing has received the green light to start work on their new town centre premises on Merrial Street, opposite Newcastle Borough Council’s Civic Offices.
The company recently received the go-ahead and approval for its plans to develop the old Eubanks store, and is confident that access to its key services and information will make life much easier for customers.
Services accessible from the new premises will include: tenancy and estate enquiries; information about shared and home ownership; reporting repairs; welfare advice; debt management and much more.
Sinéad Butters, Chief Executive at Aspire Housing is delighted with the future plans and said: “Our aim is to provide our customers with the best possible services and making access easier is essential.
She continued: “We continue to consult with customers and our colleagues to find out exactly what they would like to see at the new premises, as part of a wider review of the services that we deliver.”
Aspire Housing is looking to offer a resource centre at the new premises, where customers will be able to access internet services and are currently reviewing their opening hours to suit customers’ needs.
In addition, the company’s customer service centre will be located at the new offices where staff will aim to deal with 80% of the calls received at the first point of contact.
Customers are invited to the company’s next town centre consultation event that will take place on Wednesday 20 August - from 9.30am until 3.00pm.Staff will be situated outside the Guild Hall to answer your questions and take your views on-board for the customer services review.
The doors to the town centre location will be open to customers early next year, with a date yet to be finalised and Aspire Housing’s head office will remain on the Brampton.
