Aspire Housing will be hosting a visit from the Hong Kong Housing Authority this week.
Representatives from the largest provider of housing in Hong Kong are visiting the UK for 2 weeks. As part of their visit they will spend a day with the Newcastle-based housing provider to look at the way the company undertakes its improvements programme, repairs and maintenance services.
The aim of their visit is to inform strategic planning and policies, enhance their understanding of the UK housing market and to give them the opportunity to talk openly and challenge traditional housing issues.
Aspire Housing will showcase their successes to delegates, that will include a tour of the local area to demonstrate the developments in Knutton and Cross Heath Area of Major Intervention.
Sinéad Butters, Aspire Housing’s Chief Executive, was delighted to be asked to host the international visitors: “This is a great opportunity for us demonstrate the fantastic work we are leading on in the North Staffordshire area and to share our future ambitious plans.
She continued: “I am sure that both organisations will learn much from the visit and we are looking forward to sharing the differences and similarities in the way we both work.”
The eight housing professionals will be accompanies by a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, who are coordinating their UK stay.
