Aspire Housing is celebrating after being awarded the prestigious West Midlands Centre for Construction Excellence (WMCCE) ‘Leadership in People’ award.
The awards pay tribute to organisations that seek nothing less than excellence in their strategic and operational activities. Open to all West Midlands’ companies, the awards have categories for leadership in people development, supply chain partnerships, sustainable development and innovation.
The Leadership in People Development Award is awarded to companies that have demonstrated a real commitment to staff development.
Winning the award means a great deal to Aspire Housing and the company’s Chief Executive, Sinéad Butters is delighted:“It’s fantastic that we have been recognised for a regional award that acknowledges companies throughout the area for their professionalism, excellence and innovation.
She continued: “The development of our colleagues is crucial to our success. We deliver an accredited management and leadership development programme and fully support further learning and training opportunities for everyone.”
The WMCCE awards 2008 are run in partnership with Birmingham City Council and the Chartered Institute of Construction and are sponsored by the Allied Irish Bank.
The awards event was hosted by Joanne Malin of ITV’s Central News and presentations were given by the Lord Mayer of Birmingham, Cllr Randal Brew.
