Newcastle Housing Advice Surgery
Newcastle Housing Advice (NHA) is a free service managed by Aspire Housing to assist with individuals’ housing problems.
Whether you own your own home, are a tenant or lodger, NHA can give you advice over the telephone or you can make an appointment to see someone in person.
In most cases you will receive advice straight away but sometimes you may be referred to other services for specialist advice.
NHA can also advise on rent and mortgage arrears, what to do if you’re threatened with eviction or repossession, if you have medical needs and your present housing situation is not suitable and if your property needs repair by your landlord.
A drop-in surgery will be held on Monday 29th September 2008, for anyone who feels that they would benefit from receiving free independent and confidential housing or homelessness advice.
The surgery is open to the public and can help people to get vital information on mortgage/rent arrears, problems with private rented accommodation, relationship breakdown and home-buy.
The surgery will take place at Loggerheads Library between 9.30am and 1.00pm.
If you require free, independent and confidential advice, telephone Newcastle Housing Advice on 01782 635 200 or visit www.aspirehousing.co.uk and take a look at the frequently asked questions page.
