The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) is delighted that Aspire Housing, winner of the regional Leadership in People Development award is due to be partaking in the national final of the Constructing Excellence awards, on 30th October 2008 in London.
The Constructing Excellence awards reward achievement from organisations and project teams that have achieved regional acclaim. Aspire Housing, who currently employ over 370 people, have established innovative courses to support management development, such as the Management Development programme “Aspiring Leaders”.
Winning the regional award has meant a great deal to Aspire Housing and the company’s Chief Executive Sinead Butters is looking forward to the national final:

“The development of our staff is crucial to our success and we are keen to invest in all our employees. We deliver an accredited management and leadership development programme and feel that we have a responsibility to up- skill our people making sure we give everyone a good chance to compete for the jobs at Aspire.”

Entries for the Constructing Excellence 2009 awards are now open. The awards represent the “Oscars” for the industry in the West Midlands region. It will be held the 24th April 2009 at the ICC in Birmingham and is organised by WMCCE, Birmingham City Council and the Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB).
