what happens next

If we find that we have a legal duty to assist you, we will arrange interim accommodation for you if you need it.

We will need to discuss your situation in more detail. This will enable us to decide whether or not we can eventually offer you permanent housing. We will ask you some questions to help us decide whether or not you are intentionally homeless and whether or not you have a local connection to Newcastle-under-Lyme. We will also check if you owe us any money.

Even if we find that we do not have a legal duty to assist you, we may be able to help you find a home.
