what action can Aspire Housing take
All Aspire Housing tenants are not only responsible for their own behaviour, but also the behaviour of all members of their household, their lodgers and visitors, both in their home and in the locality. If you make a complaint about antisocial behaviour, we will take account of all the points you raise and advise you on what you can do about the situation. We may then either:
- Approach your neighbour
- Arrange a joint interview
- Interview other residents, where appropriate
- Involve other agencies (Police, Local Authority, RSPCA)
- Suggest referring the case to the Community Mediation Service, who are trained and experienced in dealing with conflicts and disputes
- Take legal action if we have evidence and the nuisance is serious and ongoing
In exceptional circumstances we will use our professional witness (an independent company that provides evidence and support in neighbour dispute cases) to gather evidence or provide you with support during the case
Any action we take will be agreed with you in advance and we will keep you informed of how things are progressing.
