mediation

We have links with Mediation North Staffs, an independent organisation who you can turn to for help. In some instances our staff will refer you to this service.

Mediation is a process where a neutral third party helps two or more people to resolve their difficulties in a way which respects their individual rights and needs.

How does it work?

Two trained mediators will visit you in your own home, at a time that suits you. They will listen carefully to what you have to say and by helping you look for a positive solution for the future.

With your permission, they arrange to see your neighbour and treat them in exactly the same way.

By passing on messages and keeping a positive focus on the future they find that most clients can solve their disputes. Despite what you see on TV most people do not want to be bad neighbours.

Ask yourself:

    • Do you want to find a positive solution to your dispute?
    • Do you want to reduce the stress caused by neighbour disputes?
    • Do you want to find a way to peacefully co-exist with your neighbours?
    • Are you willing to try a new way of resolving problems that is free and has no effect on you taking any other action if it doesn't work?

If the answer is yes - then contact us and we can provide the details of how to contact Mediation North Staffs, or refer you to them.
