Do not ignore your rent arrears as they can build up to a large amount and become very difficult to pay off.

We will not immediately take legal action leading to eviction. In the first 2-3 weeks we will give you confidential help and advice to try to help you to solve the problem, usually by paying off the arrears in weekly installments on top of your rent. You can make an appointment to speak to us by visiting the online services section of this site and completing a form.

Please remember, if you regularly fail to pay your rent, we will start legal action through the courts to evict you and repossess the property. So, do not let your arrears get out of hand. If you make an agreement with us to pay off arrears, stick to it.

If you are unable to pay your rent for any reason please contact our Income Management Team on 01782 635200. An arrangement plan can be worked out to pay your arrears. It is important that you make promt payments. If you choose to pay monthly, payments must be made in advance.
