your improvements - what to expect

If you are listed on the improvement programme for a particular financial year, you will be notified by letter at the end of March.

The letter will contain information about the type of improvement work which will be completed and who the contractor completing the work will be.

A few weeks before the work is due to start, you will receive a further reminder letter.

Once the improvement works have been completed, an inspector will visit you to inspect the works and quality of workmanship. If there are any defects, the inspector will report them back to the contractor who will be expected to put them right within 10 days of receiving the report.

A final inspection will then be completed to check the work has been completed to a satisfactory standard.

You will receive a satisfaction survey approximately one month after the final inspection. It is important that you complete the satisfaction survey as we use this information to help make improvements to the service we provide.
