Choice Based Lettings - Housing Register review
You were informed recently about our plans to introduce a Choice Based Lettings Scheme later this year.
As part of this we have had to review our Housing Register and we have recently developed a new joint housing allocations policy with Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council.
Therefore we will be changing the way that properties are allocated which will make applying for housing easier and quicker for applicants and the allocation process fairer and more transparent.
The new policy brings some changes from the previous policy and is outlined below
What happens next?
In preparation for Tuesday 29th June, we need to collect some new information about applicants on our waiting list and their housing circumstances. We have sent out a new housing application form to ensure our information is correct and up to date, if you have not received a new application form please contact Newcastle Housing Advice on the number below.
As part of our verification process we may undertake a home visit in some circumstances to confirm details and provide additional advice or support if required.

Failure to return the completed form may result in previous waiting list applicants having their housing application cancelled.
