Countdown to CBL
Plans to implement a Choice Based Lettings Scheme are rapidly moving forward.
Staff, partners and involved customers have been working together to design a scheme called NHA Options that will be accessible for all of our customers and will “go live” during June 2010.
NHA Options is different from the traditional way of allocating housing. Rather than us directly allocating vacant properties to customers on our housing register, under NHA Options homes will be advertised and applicants on our housing register will express an interest in properties.
How will I take part in NHA Options?
To take part in our scheme you will need to be registered with Newcastle Housing Advice (NHA). If you are not already registered with NHA download an application pack from here >>

What happens next?
If you are already registered with NHA, during June 2010 you will be sent a welcome pack that will tell you when you can start to access the property advert information and begin to place bids.
This pack will also contain a Scheme User Guide that will tell you in detail all about NHA Options. Please take the time to read it carefully as the information inside will help you to take part in the scheme.
