We believe that offering sponsorship can help us achieve our main purpose which is to 'make our homes and communities a better place to live'.
Every year, we set aside a pot of money for sponsorship and invite applications from all sections of the community. This can range from small groups of residents arranging an event, to sponsorship of publications, up to sponsorship of large initiatives such as safety campaigns. A whole range of applications will be considered, however, to be successful, they must meet the following criteria:
- Our company name will be promoted in some way (for example, through positive publicity in the local press or our customers' newsletter)
- Our company’s profile will be raised in areas of the community or the business world (for example, awarding sponsorship reflects a positive image of the
company) - It provides an advertising opportunity for us or our services (for example, our logo is displayed at an event or on an item we have sponsored)
In addition to the above, a minimum of ONE of the following criteria should also apply:
- The project/initiative will provide a benefit to the community where we also have an involvement
- The project/initiative is linked to the core objectives of our company
- The project/initiative is linked to an agreed joint initiative or partnership working arrangement
The amount requested by a group or individual can be no greater than £1000 in any twelve month period.
We will not normally sponsor an initiative where money is available from 'mainstream' sources (for example, building refurbishment etc).
We have a policy and procedure in place to make sure that we distribute funds fairly and our budget is limited so we will be unable to help with every application we receive.
