Butt Lane
This area is situated 5 miles north of Newcastle town centre and half a mile west of Kidsgrove town centre. Here we have 172 houses (mainly 3 bedroom), 4 one bedroom flats and 29 bungalows (all but one two bedroomed). Butt Lane has a small number of local shops and is within easy reach of Kidsgrove town centre which has a wider range of shops and facilities, including a sports centre and swimming pool.
Harriseahead
A small, semi-rural village situated along the road from Kidsgrove to Mow Cop, 8 miles north of Newcastle town centre and 2 miles north east of Kidsgrove town centre. Here we have 15 pre-war three bedroom houses and 4 modern one bedroom bungalows.
Kidsgrove
A small town 6 miles north of Newcastle town centre. Here there are a good range of local shops and facilities including a sports centre, swimming baths, library, post office and town hall. The Freeport shopping complex is about 2 miles away at Talke. Kidsgrove has a railway station giving easy access to The Potteries, Crewe, Congleton and Manchester. Our homes are mainly situated on the hillside to the north of the town centre. Here we have 425 (mainly three bedroom) houses, 102 flats and 100 (mainly one bedroom) bungalows.
Mow Cop
A small, hilltop village in a very quiet semi-rural location in the far north of the Borough, 3 miles north east of Kidsgrove and 9 miles north of Newcastle town centre. Here, on the southern edge of the village, we have a small estate of 28 1950s three bedroom houses and 4 one bedroom flats built in the late 1970s. Nearby is the local folly of Mow Cop castle, a famous local landmark which can be seen for miles around. There are superb views north westward over Cheshire and southward over the Potteries from Mow Cop.
Newchapel
A small, semi-rural village situated 2 miles east of Kidsgrove and 7 miles north of Newcastle town centres. There are a few shops in the village and one pub. Here we have 8 homes built in the 1980s (4 two bedroom flats flats and 4 one bedroom bungalows). The nearest shopping centre is in Kidsgrove. There is a small astronomical observatory in the village which is open to the public.
Rookery
A small semi-rural village one mile north east of Kidsgrove town centre and seven miles north of Newcastle town centre. The village has a few local shops and a pub. Here we have 40 houses, 36 flats and 6 bungalows. Nearest shopping centre is at Kidsgrove.
Talke
This area is situated 5 miles north of Newcastle town centre and one mile west of Kidsgrove town centre. There are a few local shops but Talke is within easy reach of Kidsgrove town centre which has a good range of shops and facilities, including a sports centre and swimming pool. The Freeport shopping mall (including a large supermarket) is in nearby Talke Pits. Here we have 84 (mainly three bedroom) houses, 39 flats and 20 (mainly one bedroom) bungalows.

The Freeport shopping mall (including a large supermarket) is on the edge of the village. Whitehill
Whitehill is situated 1 mile north east of Kidsgrove town centre. There are a few local shops (including a supermarket) serving the estate, but the nearest main shopping centre is at Kidsgrove. Here we have 50 (mainly three bedroom) houses, 18 one bedroom flats and 16 (mainly two bedroom) bungalows.
