Parksite
Parksite is a former miners' hillside estate situated two and a half miles west of Newcastle town centre and half a mile west of Silverdale village. On this estate we have 76 houses and 16 (mainly one bedroom) flats, built in the 1950s. There are a few shops on the estate and more shops in nearby Silverdale, but the nearest main shopping centre is in Newcastle.
Silverdale
Here our homes are based in and around a large former miners' village, 2 miles west of Newcastle town centre. Silverdale has several shops, including a small supermarket, a post office, a library and several pubs. There is also a small public park with tennis courts and a bowling green in the centre of the village. Here we have 137 (mainly three bedroom) houses, 189 (mainly one bedroom) flats and 93 (mainly one bedroom) bungalows.
