Aspire Housing has leapt up the national landlord rankings this year, placing 7th in the annual Top 50 Landlords list published by 24 Housing.
It is not the first time we have been included in the list, having previously placed 39th in 2017 and 41st in 2016. However, we are thrilled to have rocketed up 32 places this year.
There were hundreds of entries to the competition, with only 50 finalists being chosen out of the housing associations, Arms-Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) and councils which were put forward.
24 Housing’s Editor Mark Lawrence said: “Last year, Aspire Housing delivered 65% more new homes and over the next five years it plans to build 2,000 more.
“In PM Training, part of Aspire Housing, it has Staffordshire’s largest provider of apprenticeships. It helps customers onto a career path and aids others back into employment.
“Aspire’s shared housing scheme supports care-leavers into their own homes.”
Sinéad Butters MBE DUniv. BA (Hons), Group Chief Executive of Aspire Housing, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the result. To be named Number 7 in the top 50 is fantastic and testament to the hard work of everyone in Aspire and PM Training. It’s great too to see so many of our PlaceShaper colleagues on the list! However, we know we can do more and better for our customers. That is our focus moving forward; putting tenants at our heart.”
Aspire Housing was nominated by Coastline Housing, based in Cornwall, for “being brave enough to set its own course to address the needs of its customers and communities.”
