Building better futures for everyone is what we strive for at Aspire Housing and part of our commitment to both customers and local residents is to regenerate the areas of our Borough that need it the most.

Last year Aspire Housing was successful in securing Estate Regeneration Funding from the Government, to develop a masterplan for the long-term regeneration of land between Cross Street, Church Street and Audley Road in Chesterton. Subsequently, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council agreed that a piece of its land off Crackley Bank, that is currently used as informal open space, can also be included in the review of options for developing the masterplan, so we’re now in the process of preparing a comprehensive master plan for the wider area.

Consultants with considerable experience in developing master plans have been appointed and now want to understand what are the things that matter most to our tenants in the area and how could these be improved in the long term. After receiving a wide range of ideas and views, this will enable them to consider options that will be the subject of further consultation in the Summer.

A public consultation event has been held, which offered the opportunity for all residents in the area to shape the future of your community and to influence long-term planning.

The event took place in the communal room at Kent Grove, Chesterton on Wednesday, March 21st.

You still have an opportunity to help influence and shape the future of this area so please take the time to contribute.
