Building better futures for everyone is what we strive for at Aspire Housing. And part of our commitment to both customers and local residents is to regenerate the areas of our Borough that need it the most.

We have been working in partnership with Newcastle Borough Council to develop a master plan for the long-term regeneration of part of Chesterton and Crackley to set a vision for the next 10 years and the future.

On Wednesday 27th March 2019 we held a further consultation meeting to share the draft proposals for the area. This took place in the communal room at Kent Grove, Chesterton.

You may recall, at our previous consultation event in November 2018, we showed draft proposals for the long-term regeneration of land between Cross Street, Church Street and Audley Road in Chesterton. We asked you to share your views and ideas, and we received helpful feedback from many of you.

Following the November 2018 consultation, we reviewed your feedback and used it to produce an additional option to consider alongside the original masterplan option, which is intended to address some of the main concerns that were highlighted by members of the community.

At the March 2019 event, we presented two options – the original draft proposal and the new additional proposal. We invited residents from homes in the immediate area to share their thoughts and to tell us which of these two draft masterplan options they prefer.

We need your views to help us to shape the long-term master plan for your area and to inform the decision-making process. This is an opportunity to help influence and shape the future of this area in advance of a planning application, so please take the time to contribute.
