24-hour social media event to celebrate the positive impact of social housing on millions of tenants, will take place this year on Wednesday, 10 October.

Now in its sixth year, #HousingDay has played an important role in raising the profile of the social housing sector, helping to tackle stigma and shatter stereotypes.

Previously known as primarily a Twitter event, this year #HousingDay will be taking its message to other social media channels including Facebook.

#HousingDay 2018 is particularly important as it falls in the middle of the consultation period for the Government's Social Housing Green Paper. Appropriately, the theme for this year is 'The tenant voice'. Sinead Butters our CEO comments  "We’ve always talked and listened to our customers, in fact our customers helped designed our new website. But the stigma attached to social housing customers is unfair and unwelcome, and we know we can do more. We must put and keep customers at the heart of everything we do."
