With an existing portfolio of 9,000 rented and leasehold properties and an ambitious housing development programme, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Development Officer to join our Development Team at Aspire Housing.
As Development Officer you will be responsible for the programming and delivery of a number of schemes including older persons schemes, as part of the Development Strategy. You will be responsible for maintaining the programme in line with the strategy and ensuring the schemes are completed within time scales and to budget, identifying issues, monitoring the attainment of key milestones, and managing all schemes from initial identification and through contract to end of defects.
A sound knowledge of construction processes and various forms of build contracts and experience of working for a registered provider, is essential.
As a strong project manager within the residential housing sector, you will provide an effective and efficient client-sided service, working with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to work off your own initiative, as well as being a focused team player. You will have an established track record of continuously improved performance and efficiency in delivering development schemes. You will hold relevant qualifications with an accredited body such as RICS or CIOB or an equivalent level of experience working within this sector.
