Aspire Housing, Achieve Training and the Realise charity are three businesses which blend together commercial expertise with social purpose and revitalise communities by providing homes, training, employment and support.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Personal Coach to join our Employment and Skills Team. You must have at least two years’ experience of providing employment advice / IAG to unemployed people and hold a Level 4 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance.
Your main role will be to deliver a professional Employment and Skills service to local unemployed adults to help them to change their lives by moving from unemployment into employment, training or active job search.
You will be a people person with excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with those far removed from the labour market. After successful engagement, you will support people both individually and through group work to identify barriers to employment and equip them with the skills needed to positively progress.
You will be expected to work in partnership with local companies to ensure you deliver an excellent service for the clients. You will be delivering employment contracts and must be able to achieve, and where possible exceed contractual targets. The role, therefore, calls for equal talents in administration and communication – on the one hand, to collate and evaluate vital management information, and on the other to work effectively with challenging and often disengaged clients.
You will have the skills to facilitate one-to-one employability advice, group training and workshops for unemployed clients. Competent with IT, flexible in your working hours and with the ability to travel across sites, this is an opportunity to take our far-reaching work even further and share our pride in what we do.
