We have been thrilled to work alongside our partners to support Civic Pride in Newcastle-under-Lyme!
Following a week of successful events last year, our teams have been working in partnership with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Police, and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to bring monthly events celebrating Civic Pride.
These events aim to bring communities together, highlight local initiatives, and showcase the best of Newcastle-under-Lyme.
So far we’ve held ‘Days of Action’ in Kidsgrove, Loggerheads, Chesterton, Crackley, and Audley, working hard to connect with customers and the local communities.
During our last event in Audley we held a Community Walkabout around Hollinwood Close, carrying out a litter pick to keep the area clean and welcoming.
We also spoke to customers about their concerns on things like anti-social behaviour, providing updates on the actions we've taken with our partners.
We were able to remove around 100kg of fly-tipping (equivalent to about 20 bin bags!), and addressed a fire risk, ensuring safety remains a top priority.
These events are a testament to the power of partnerships and the importance of putting people first.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, including our customers, partners, and teams.
Together, we're making positive contributions across all our neighbourhoods.
