Can I rent an Aspire Housing home?

All of our homes are available through the choice-based lettings system and your local authority’s Housing Needs Register.

To see if you qualify to rent an Aspire Housing home, use the map above to find and visit your local authority’s website to register for rental homes.

If your registration is successful, we will contact you to confirm your interest and start the application process.

 

I’m on benefits. Will Universal Credit cover my rent?

Universal Credit can contribute towards your housing costs. The amount you receive depends on various factors including your income, savings, household composition, and rental amount.

To find out more, you can log into your Universal Credit online account where you can send a secure message to your work coach or case manager. Alternatively, you can call the Universal Credit helpline at 0800 328 5644 for direct assistance.

What should I do if I am homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or need emergency accommodation?

If you’re at risk of homelessness, your first step should be to contact your Local Authority immediately. Reach out to the authority in the area where you currently reside or where you wish to live.

They are equipped to provide you with appropriate guidance and support tailored to your situation.

 

I’m already a customer and want to move. How do I exchange?

If you are finding that your home is no longer suitable due to size or location, you will need to apply via your local authority.

Alternatively, you have the option of finding a mutual exchange using the HomeSwapper website.

 

Can I have a pet?

Yes, you can have a pet at Aspire Housing, but you will need to follow our process and adhere to specific guidelines.

We understand how important pets can be for enhancing quality of life, so we’re happy to consider pet requests. However, please be aware that not all homes are suitable for all types of pets.

The suitability of your home for your specific pet will be considered as part of the approval process to ensure that the environment is safe and appropriate for your pet, while also maintaining the comfort and safety of all residents in the community.
