STAIRs Hub
STAIRs stands for the Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements. It is designed to make it easier for social housing tenants to find information about how their landlord manages homes, delivers services and makes decisions.
This page brings together key Aspire Housing information in one place. Much of this information is already published across our website, and this hub helps you find it more easily.
What is STAIRs?
The Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements are intended to improve transparency, help tenants access the information they need, and support accountability in social housing.
Publication scheme
Social landlords will be required to publish key information about how homes are managed, how decisions are made, how services perform, and how customers can access relevant information.
Access on request
Tenants will be able to request certain information about the management of their home and housing services. We will publish more details about this process before it goes live.
Good to know: much of the information covered by STAIRs is already available on the Aspire Housing website. This hub signposts the main information under the STAIRs categories.

Alternative formats and accessibility
We want information published through this hub to be clear, accessible and easy to use. If you need information in a different format, such as large print, audio, Braille or another language, please contact us and we will work with you to provide this free of charge.
You can also manage services and contact us online through MyAccount.
Future information requests
From 1 April 2027, tenants will be able to make formal STAIRs information requests about certain aspects of social housing management.
What you may be able to request
This may include information about repairs, property condition, rent, service charges, anti-social behaviour, health and safety, communication and other housing management matters.
How this will work
We will publish details about how to make a request, what information may be available, and the timescales for responses before this process goes live.
What happens next
This hub will continue to be updated as the STAIRs requirements are introduced and developed.
Formal STAIRs request arrangements are not yet live. This page currently focuses on Aspire’s publication scheme and where you can find existing information on our website.
