What is Civic Pride?
Civic Pride is an inspiring initiative led by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, and we are are proud to partner with the council to bring these events to life throughout the year. Civic Pride is all about fostering stronger connections between communities, residents, and partner organisations to create a positive and lasting impact across the borough.
At the heart of this initiative lies the council’s commitment to working collaboratively with communities, as outlined in their Council Plan for 2022 to 2026. By listening to the voices of residents, volunteers, and local organisations, the council has developed a strategy that puts people first - aligning perfectly with our own mission of “Putting People First.”
The strategy focuses on improving how the council engages with residents, offering better access to information, advice, and guidance, and ensuring that residents are at the centre of decision-making. Through a detailed delivery plan, this initiative transforms high-level goals into tangible actions that will make a real difference to the lives of those living and working in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Together, we aim to celebrate and strengthen the communities we serve, creating a sense of pride in our shared spaces and collective achievements.

Upcoming Events
Knutton / Cross Heath
20th May 2025Join us in Knutton at 10am at the Wammy Car Park, where Staffordshire Police will be stationed with their mobile Police unit. This is a great opportunity to raise any concerns about anti-social behaviour, off-road bikes, or any other issues, and to meet your Locality Coordinator from Aspire Housing.
Additionally, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council's Green Team, together with Aspire Housing's Caretaking Team, will be leading a community litter pick around the Knutton area. Everyone is welcome to join and help make a difference!
There will also be a drop-in session at Ramsey Road Community Centre, where you can meet representatives from Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, Aspire Housing, Staffordshire Police, and the Keele Clinical Trials team..
