National Hoarding Awareness Week is taking place Monday 11th May - Friday 15th May.

The NHS acknowledges hoarding disorder as a mental health condition, estimating 2% - 6% of the UK population has the condition.

Hoarding is not simply “mess”. It can be linked to complex mental health challenges, and labels can make it harder for people to ask for help.

This year’s campaign focuses on what standardised hoarding support should look like: better awareness, joined-up services, and practical help without judgement.

The aim is to build on the growing national conversation that began in October last year, when the UK Parliament held its first-ever debate on hoarding disorder and the urgent need for a standardised national approach to support.

If you or someone you know is struggling with hoarding, you can find out more about the disorder and support available via the link below.
