Neighbourhood Action Week
Throughout the week, Aspire Housing and partner organisations will be out in communities across the borough, delivering clean-up activity, neighbourhood engagement, reassurance visits and visible partnership working with residents, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Police.
Partners will work together in key areas of Chesterton, making a positive contribution to neighbourhoods through activity led by our Neighbourhood Impact Team. Joint visits and resident engagement around safety measures will also take place with Aspire Housing, NBC and Police, ensuring a highly visible presence for residents to speak with teams directly.
On Monday 29th June, teams will be present in Cross Heath during the morning, with activity focused around Ramsey Road and Douglas Road. Residents will be able to see a visible presence in the area as part of ASB Awareness Week activity.
On Monday 29th June, ASB Awareness Week activity will also take place in Hempstalls, with a focus on Tulip Grove and Larkspur Grove. This will help bring a visible partnership presence into the neighbourhood and support engagement with the local community.
The Neighbourhood Impact Team will be present in Madeley to make a positive contribution to local neighbourhoods, while representatives from partner organisations, including NBC and Police, will carry out community engagement and visits to discuss collaboration, local issues and opportunities for improvement.
On Tuesday 30th June, teams will be in May Bank between 10am and 12pm, with activity focused around Highfield Avenue. The visit will support visible partnership engagement in the neighbourhood during ASB Awareness Week.
On Tuesday 30th June, teams will be present in Bradwell from 1pm to 3pm, with activity taking place around Oldcastle Avenue and Dayson Place. This forms part of the wider ASB Awareness Week programme across local communities.
Partners will deliver a range of positive activity across Newcastle Town Centre, from litter picks to site visits and neighbourhood impact initiatives. Work will also extend into the communities and green spaces on the periphery of the town centre, with a strong, visible presence to give residents the opportunity to engage directly with partner organisations.
Further clean-up activity will continue in Silverdale, building on recent work around the Parade. At the same time, joint visits and initiatives will take place at selected locations in Knutton, with a focus on community reassurance around e-scooters and off-road bikes, particularly near the Whammy.
Partners will work together in targeted areas of Kidsgrove, with positive neighbourhood activity led by our Neighbourhood Impact Team. Dedicated visits and engagement around safety measures will also continue as part of a joint approach involving Aspire Housing, NBC and Police.
