Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) covers a range of nuisance and criminal behaviours that cause distress to others, such as noise, abusive behaviour, littering, and illegal drug use.
- Examples of ASB: Noisy or abusive behaviour, vandalism or graffiti, intimidation, public drunkenness, littering, fly-tipping, illegal drug use, excessively barking dogs, or playing loud music at night.
- Not considered ASB: Babies crying, doors closing, children playing, toilets flushing, DIY noise during reasonable hours (7am–11pm), or walking across the floor.
- If you experience ASB: If it’s safe, approach the person and explain how their behaviour affects you.
- Reporting: Report ASB to Aspire Housing, your local council, or the police - depending on how serious it is.
- Keep a record: Note down incidents, with dates, times, and what happened. This helps us and other agencies to help you.
