Together with Tenants – in brief
Together with Tenants is a new plan drafted by NHF in collaboration with its members, which outlines the NHF’s work to strengthen the relationship between housing associations and their tenants and residents. We’re delighted to be working with the NHF on this plan.
The NHF have shared their plan and would like as many social housing tenants as possible to share their feedback on it. This is an opportunity for you to share how you think we should work together.
So, what does the Together with Tenants draft plan include?
The new draft plan outlines four actions:
- A new requirement in our Code of Governance for boards to be accountable to our tenants
- A new charter setting out what our tenants can expect from us as their landlord
- Tenant and resident oversight and scrutiny of the charter with a report on how we are doing against charter commitments
- A closer link with regulation.
