We are committed to providing high-quality homes for our customers and this financial year, between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023, we will spend £13 million on upgrades to existing homes.  

This money will be spent on a range of home improvements including 430 kitchens, 122 bathrooms, 691 boilers, 747 electrical upgrades and rewires, 97 front and back doors, 168 new roofs and 20 new communal entrance doors to flat blocks.  

If you are due to receive any of the above upgrades within the next six months, you will shortly receive a letter from us to confirm the details. Those upgrades due after December will be communicated nearer the time.  

Following on from this year’s spend, over the four years that follow, we will spend another £42 million on improvements to our existing homes, including 2,683 kitchens, 53 bathrooms, 2,209 boilers, 1,953 electrical upgrades and rewires, 347 front and back doors and 1,032 new roofs. 

We know kitchens and bathrooms are really important to our customers. You can find the latest information about our kitchen installations on our Repairs and Maintenance web page. We’ll be updating this page with information on our bathroom installations shortly.  

We’re also undertaking internal and external flat block improvements at Norwich Place - Clayton, Vine Bank Road, Kidsgrove, Greenside and Fletcher Bank, Newcastle-under-Lyme. This will include new external block doors, new door entry systems, full internal modernisation and external improvements to uplift the environment. We’ll be in touch with affected customers to share details ahead of works starting.
