Happy and peaceful home

Former bricklayer Gordon Stevenson, aged 74, lives in Newcastle.

He and his partner, Valerie Bailey, moved in to a semi-detached bungalow, close to the town centre with a newly fitted bathroom and kitchen. It is part of a community living scheme, for people aged over 55.

After a lifetime of work in the building trade, the standard of the housing was important to Gordon.

He said: “My home is peaceful and quiet. It’s a newly renovated property and I’m impressed with the work Aspire has done.

“It’s a lovely home and we are very happy here. I would recommend this to other people in our age range.”
